My weakest part of the game is deck-building. I never seem to have a consistent enough deck to do what I want. We are about to start a new campaign and I have a concept for a Jim Culver deck that I would love some help with.

I am looking to build Jim as a fighter with a focus on manipulating the chaos bag to get the result he wants. (I was inspired by the synergy between Premonition and Recall the Future). But I am not sure I have a good base to go on. Below is a link to what I have as a starter. One other thing I am worried about is the resource cost of the deck as it stands right now. I would love your thoughts on adjusting it and how to upgrade as I go through Carcosa. (I own Base Set, Dunwich, Carcosa, and Forgotten Age)

(Bonus question: I would kinda love to run a Daisy deck with Jim... I have not played Daisy yet and I think she'd be a fun Cluever to try. Am I going to stretch the mystic cards too thin? My concept for her is to spend the early games upgrading all the unknown assets I can with Shrewd Analysis.)

So Jim gets MUCH better once you get Circle undone as Sixth Sense is just made for him as is Eldritch Inspiration. Spectral Razor from Circle would also help make him more of a fighter.

So to start I'm not a huge fan of Dark Horse as all your cards except Tansmutation cost more than 1. But if you are at a minimum swap out machete for fire axe. This will let you save money until you need to spend it, opening the door to play your larger assets. I would also swap in Forbidden Knowledge for Transmutation as it is a fast action. Take some fine clothes for horror soak (and you are going to the theater after all) and you should be ok. You won't be a great fighter but you can handle your own. Who else is going to be in your group?
