Rita knows a thing or two about hoods

Yes, I'm a horrible person. Puns aside, this version of the running lady pretty much cannot fail an agility test (outside of autofails). Trench Coat, Peter, and her famous Track Shoes make her test at a whopping 8 passive, and almost everything she has can be committed for a few extra if needed.

That last parts important, because Crystallizer of Dreams practically makes this deck shine. All those shiny events get reused as shiny skill boosts, and the guardian is kind of a joke in a deck designed to keep hostiles flat-footed.

Pilfer, Breaking and Entering, and Belly of the Beast give you 6 shots at snagging clues for the team, more once you've upgraded Pilfer. Hiding Spot can be used to dash through a room without pulling loose hostiles. Note that you can also attach Hiding Spot to a location you know an enemy will spawn in, and it will remain Aloof until the next round! Resourceful and Scrounge for Supplies need no explanation. Crafty can pay for every event except Will to Survive, Waylay, and Close Call.

The real trick though, and the source of the decks name, is the unassuming Baseball Bats and a snazzy little combo. Unlike most investigators that can take the BB, Rita not only doesn't have access to any seriously superior options, nor any particularly powerful hand gears, but also has the advantage of not seriously caring if it breaks, as she can just go back to evading everything. However, once you acquire Ace in the Hole and the upgraded Will to Survive, the unassuming bat becomes a monster that can dish out 12 testless damage in one turn. That's pretty powerful, even as a three card combo. Save it for a boss!

Scrapper lets us not only pump our dodging, but also make the bat a little more accurate outside of the combo. Useful! Cheap Shot and Sweeping Kick help us dish out pain, Waylay and Close Call let us get rid of threats outright. Lure lets us pull mobs away from our friends, and with our mobility and evasion we don't need it's upgraded form. Sneak By gives us some cash and feeds our Crystallizer, while Slip Away is used exclusively for it's extended lock. If you have extra XP after everything else, upgrade Slip Away so it becomes reusable.
