After running an economy centric Rex Murphy deck through Dunwich and a very skill heavy Min deck through Path to Carcosa I wanted to try my hand at an asset heavy Seeker.
This deck is as straight forward as they come. I played with Dr. Christopher Milan in Dunwich and mr. Rook in Carcosa before so I wanted to play with a different ally straight out of the gates. Luckily Jeremiah Kirby provided me with a solution to both problems that arose from wanting to play a zero skill deck after my previous Min adventure in Carcosa. Namely draw and enough book to hit my investigate checks.
The deck focusses around getting your passive book and foot checks as high as possible. There is plenty of search and draw in the deck to make sure you hit your 1 offs. To make up for the lack of clueing efficiency, due to missing out on cards like deduction, i resorted to adding more actions. Ursula's ability combined with Archive of Conduits, Hiking Boots and Pathfinder especially provided plenty of clueing power.
Eon Chart(1) was along with Pathfinder the most essential card to the deck outside of the passive stat increases. These cards should be bought as soon as possible along with upgrading the magnifying glasses.
Not a flashy or interactive deck to play, but very reliable and when you get your assets out your investigates and evades are pretty much a guaranteed succes with the obvious exception of the autofail.
The combination of Prophesiae Profana and Gené Beauregard is very good, but it hardly ever came up to be relevant. The moving a clue ability from Gené and the ignore attacks of opportunity from Prophesiae were very relevant on their own though and a powerful addition to the deck. The way it operates being focussed on mobility made for ample opportunity to make maximum use out of those abilities.
