Introduction / Deck idea

This deck uses the Reseach Notes clue dropping archetype combined with other Trish shenanigans. By the time I was ready with the final cut I realized that there were only 3 green cards, which almost inspired me to do a "yellow cards only" challenge. Almost.

Mulligan hard for Grim Memoir and Whitton Greene. They will provide the initial clues and card draw to setup for the clue dropping archetype.

Clue gathering

Grim Memoir for "regular" investigations and card draw.

Research Notes for clue dropping archetype with Quick Study, Captivating Discovery, Forewarned and Analysis.

Arcane Enlightenment to run 1 Grim Memoir and 2 Research Notes together.

"Wait a minute, where is Press Pass?"

I have considered using Research Librarian + Press Pass(2) instead of Whitton Greene(2) + Eon Chart(1). However, the lack of horror soak in the deck stroke me as a weakness.

Whitton Greene(2) provides a similar tutor effect while also providing stat boost and -in my opinion- much needed horror soak. Eon Chart(1) keeps the resource cost flat, provides a similar bonus action effect and being a relic is an additional target card for Whitton. Finally, it opens up the Eon Chart(4) upgrade option which Trish can make excellent use of.

Enemy management / Trish shenanigans

Obfuscation to cancel attacks of opportunity. Spend an action while engaged with an enemy to get a clue (trigger Trish's ) or move to relocate the enemy to the next location with clues and/or closer to your fighter friend.

Knowledge is Power to use on either Tome while engaged to get a clue (trigger Trish's ) without provoking an attack of opportunity.

Existential Riddle to turn an enemy into a harmless pet. If the enemy is hunter, he will follow you around to let you trigger Trish's reliably.

Resources / Card draw

Another Day, Another Dollar to be ready to pay for Grim Memoir and Whitton Greene on turn 1.

Crack the Case if you ever miss an opportunity to play it due to late draw, you can always drop a clue to create a new opportunity.

Grim Memoir, Whitton Greene and Captivating Discovery cover card search & draw.
