All aboard, the gravy train is about to depart the station!

This is a solo Jenny Barnes build designed for long-term campaign play. With solo play, action management is very important. Your only investigator needs to take care of everything with a limited number of actions. Therefore solo decks need to try to achieve as much as possible without actually spending actions. Two most important tasks in Arkham Horror: The Card Game are collecting clues and fighting monsters. Jenny Barnes can handle both with the sheer amount of cash she collects. Fortunately, being a , she can use Leo De Luca, giving her up to 33% more time to advance the Acts.

Fighting monsters To fight monsters, one needs weapons. You already have Jenny's Twin .45s, which I recommend to purchase at least 5 barrels for. You complement it with .41 Derringer and Baseball Bat. Machete is perfectly fine as well, but Baseball Bat gives greater strength bonus and is cheaper. Also, it just looks better thematically. Unfortunately, it blocks the Flashlight and can crack on you. Try playing the Baseball Bat more situation-aware. Or just go for Machete.

Collecting clues There is nothing dedicated to collecting clues, except for the Flashlight. With base of 3, you should be pretty okay with most locations, you can use the Flashlight on the 3+ and Drawn to the Flame on 4+ ones. To move around, you can use Think on Your Feet and Elusive, which are both Fast.

The real deal in this deck is two copies of Hard Knocks and Arcane Studies. Jenny's base skill values of 3 look good, but in fact it means she is not really good at anything. With these cards, you can turn that disadvantage to an advantage. But where to get the cash? Jenny's special already gives you an extra resource every turn. Combined with Emergency Cache and Burglary, you can get even more to pump those skills to 5 or 6, whenever needed. You can later switch the Caches to Hot Streak.

Another key card is Double or Nothing. Just think about the possible combos: Burglary for 6 resources. Investigate for 2 clues. Baseball hit for 4 dmg. Because you have so many resources, you can afford to pump the skills to deal with double difficulty. Or later use Sure Gamble.

This build's disadvantage is its rather slow buildup. There are just so many cards that you would like to see played: Leo De Luca is the first priority, then a weapon would be useful, or maybe a Flashlight. Later on you need to shove out Hard Knocks and Arcane Studies. With those, you need Burglary. It is quite difficult to find the right spot when you should stop building up and start progressing the Acts. You also need to be careful with resources. You have a lot of them, but they are no limitless, so resist the temptation to try to pass every test. It could then happen that you won't have enough for the critical ones. (E.g. Searching for Izzie, which you really really don't want to fail.) You don't have to kill every monster and collect every clue.

Possible improvements are Sure Gamble, Hot Streak and both Bulletproof Vest and Elder Sign Amulet. Hired Muscle and Cat Burglar block Leo De Luca and the one-resource upgrade for Leo De Luca is a waste of experience point, especially in this deck.

Personally I call the 4-dmg baseball hit "the home run".
