Starting Carcosa (4player)this week with Rex, Roland, and Agnes. I wanted to try the concept of a deck based mainly on evading enemies allowing the other characters to focus on their tasks. I decided on Wendy as I feel she's well suited for this type of deck having access to both Survivor and Rogue cards.
The idea is to let Roland go first and then evade any enemies he hasn't killed or gotten to yet. This will help to keep him alive longer while also freeing up Rex to vaccum up clues without interruption.
I made sure to include a few cards to help with damage, if needed, as well as grabbing some clues here and there when no enemies need to be evaded.
I have plenty of cards that can be upgraded with xp, but I'd also like to swap something out for 2xLockpicks asap as it will allow her to consistently pick up clues.
We had Skids in our group through Night of the Zealots and The Dunwich Legacy. He was able to reliably evade an enemy when needed, but we've never used evasion as a focal point in any of our decks or a main strategy in a campaign. I'll post the results when I see how the concept works(or fails miserably).
