SPOILERS BELOW
So after playing the first two scenarios of The Forgotten Age, I've come up with a more optimized deckbuild to prep myself for the encounters using Leo Anderson. The theme of this deck is "Survival", to survive the jungle (not the class, silly!).
The supplies - I can't really comment on exactly what are the best supplies to pick, but if I had to estimate I feel like the Torch, the Map, and the Chalk are the 3 best supplies out of the list as well as stuff that can heal Poison. The Binoculars can also give you some nice XP as well so that's another good option to fit in there.
Machete and Survival Knife - For better or worse, I genuinely feel this is the best approach to combat starting off. It's the most consistent and both together can do some major damage.
The Ally cards - Really the best choices you can go with, however I've found running too many Guard Dog can clog up hands when unnecessary so I only chose to run a single copy just in case Mitch Brown comes into play. Then again 2 Beat Cops are just as good if not better.
"I'm outta here!" and Cheap Shot - Now we're heading into spoiler territory. So anyone that has played these scenarios would know you really do NOT want Vengeance to go to the Victory Pile. It's a real pain in the ass in each individual scenario as is, and most likely will have even worse implications as the campaign goes on. On top of that, "I'm outta here!" also helps us get out last minute since both scenarios have the ability to Resign, with Scenario 2 requiring you to Resign towards the end of it. In fact, "I'm outta here!" cheeses the final stretch of Scenario 2, lol. On top of that it also has some nifty evade icons as well.
Elusive - You should prob run this no matter what campaign, but if anyone has ever thought about taking it out here: DON'T. There are times where you'll be overwhelming and some of those enemies you genuinely do not want to fight. This campaign so far has been really excessive with enemies ganging up on you.
Upgrade paths should prob be:
- Charon's Obol if you're feeling lucky ("I'm outta here!" will save you don't worry).
- Charisma, Beat Cop Level 2 (Both) and Leo De Luca Level 1 (Both) are top priorities.
- Cat Burglar is also another option and good replacement for Guard Dog.
After that depends on how the campaign goes. If we're getting lots of clues in these next scenarios coming up then Lockpicks and similar should come into play (though with Leo's 3 Book he's going to be fine most of the time). If we're fighting lots of enemies then buying a Shotgun or Lightning Gun might be an option as well (though most likely you should be doing this towards the end). Then there's obviously safe choices like Key of Ys, which might not be a bad idea considering the amount of trauma the scenario deals to you after Scenario 1, lol.

Nice deck. I tried a similar deck with a bit more variety and less Leo De Luca - it didn't fare so well :(
You mention clue-getting was easy but I found a Flashlight invaluable for certain locations!
Is there space for the Decorated Skull? This seemed to work well for resource generation, especially with the extra action from leo and Lone Wolf.
