I built this deck as a team-up deck to be paired with Daisy Walker for my blind run for the Scarlet Keys campaign. The partner deck can be found here: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/4738742 The focus is on having fun and some nice synergy with the partner deck. In order to win the game, or at least having a good result, I concentrated on the usual main points which are the standards for a good functioning deck:
Difficulty
Enemy Management
Clue-getting
Encounter protection
Survivability
Economy
Card Drawing
and Action Compression
Since this deck needs to be paired with the team-up deck, the fun is the synergy. If your partner is in danger, Daniela will fulfill her duty by cracking the enemy and getting rewarded by cracking the case as an example. Therefore I want to explain my cards considerations. Here comes the card breakdown.
Daniela Reyes: one of the best guardians. Nice statline and a perfect signature ability for efficient enemy management.
Blackjack: a cheap weapon to bash an enemy without hitting your fragile seeker. Also helps for concealed cards.
Sledgehammer: wellness treatment for enemies.
Hallowed Mirror: to keep you, or any ally in good condition or helping your team mate just to not die. The action for the Melody is not wasted, as it draws you a card.
Grete Wagner: she brings the most important stat boost and will find you a quick clue if needed. Good synergy for TSK concealed cards.
Jessica Hyde: your first signature ally, making you almost immortal and giving you the best stat boost.
Peter Sylvestre: your 2nd signature ally, making you almost immortal.
Relentless: economy for smasing your enemies to death.
Safeguard: perfect action compression, saving you a lot of move actions: Always stick together with your fragile partner. I took two in order to find at least one of them soon and because of the deck building restrictions. No access to the level 2 version.
"Get behind me!": thematic and efficient fast event to protect your team mate.
"Get over here!": hunt your enemies and bash them.
Glory: for much needed card draw or two nice pips for investigating.
Motivational Speech: for playing an ally even if an enemy is around. Can also support your team mate to ensure a great starting turn.
Prepared for the Worst: to find your essential tools. Also has some nice pips in case you already found your weapons.
Tinker: to give a fast additional hand slot for your tools. I run two copies because of the later upgrades.
Daring: giving you 3 wilds plus a card and you will not be bothered when the test fails in case you have your wrench to repair the enemy. Can also help your team mate for a risky evade or attack move.
Overpower: obvious choice, giving you two pips and replaces itself.
Resourceful: I have decided to go for level 0 Survivor skills in order to have a good preparation when upgrading the deck. This card gives you nice pips and can bring back your other skills for commiting them again or later important Survivor cards. You also can throw it in when your Seeker team mate is investigating. Almost ensuring the success.
Stunning Blow: when you really don´t want an enemy to be ready.
Take Heart: very efficient economy and card draw without a cost or an action. Perfect harmony with Danielas stat line. Use it for investigation.
Upgrade path:
Top priority:
Charisma: to have two of your homies with you.
Sledgehammer - Sledgehammer: make your enemies flat.
Relentless - Hunting Jacket: economy and additional soak in one card.
Medium priority:
Glory - At a Crossroads: more versatile. Can also help your team mate.
Blackjack - Fire Extinguisher: another tool with increased brutality.
Luxury:
Scrapper: spend your spare cash for better success.
Charisma: have two allys and be ready in case you get a good campaign specific ally.
Fincal thoughs: As a deckbuiling rooky, my intention was to create and share two fun and efficient decks for a pair of investigators, making any campaign enjoyable. Playing on Easy or Standard difficulity. Hope you will like the decks and of course would appreciate any ideas in the comment section.
