Spare some change? V.2 (Forgotten age Ashcan Pete)

I made a deck with the theme of a broke-ass hobo in mind living on a little bit of money a day and the kindness of Madame Labranche (almost all cards can be played with 1 or 2 resources). With Madame Labranche in place you can play every card the turn you draw it and never lose the Dark Horse bonus.

The strength of this deck seems to me that this needs very little setup to become extremely efficient early game. you also get a lot of bonuses to skill checks in the form of Lucky!, Live and Learn, Winging It, Dark Horse, Fieldwork. If you fail a skill check you can activate Madame Labranche for a resource, play Lucky! and never lose your Dark Horse bonus.

Dark Horse is a given in this deck since you can play almost every card in your deck at 1 or 2 resources which then gives you the Dark Horse bonus. Leather Coat for damage soak. Rabbit's Foot so you don't get screwed if you fail a check. Madame Labranche for card draw and resources to play your 2-cost cards.

Winging It is an ideal cards for reactivating Duke and you can play them from the discard to get a +1 to a check in place of the +2 that Duke provides. Since a lot of our checks are going to be close calls Lucky! and Live and Learn are ideal cards in this deck. If you don't have any of these on hand you can use the skill icons on cards to boost you.

Resourceful will almost always be used to get Live and Learn or Lucky! back (or Fight or Flight if a boss is coming up). The duo of Fight or Flight and Fire Axe is your boss killer combo.

For my dip cards I chose Magnifying Glass for clue gathering reasons. Inspiring Presence has great synergy with Duke, as does Fieldwork. With Duke yoy can hop around between clue spots to trigger the Fieldwork bonus.

The biggest weakness of this deck is that you need Fire Axe in order to be reliable at combat. so try to mulligan for this card. You will always be a viable clue gatherer.
