Preston Fairmont - Solo Curse of the Rougarou

Disclaimer: semi-blind run - several decisions within the game as well as in deck-building is done with prior knowledge of the Campaign in mind.
Though this is my first run on Return and with Preston Fairmont.

Upgrades:
Peter Sylvestre needed to survive the insane amounts of horror so far.
Fine Clothes no longer required and thus sacrificed.
Added another copy of Rabbit's Foot in place of Trial by Fire

Curse of the Rougarou (1XP):

Summary:
After crashing and burning on the Unspeakable Oath, went back to do Curse of the Rougarou before going for a 2nd try.
Barely made it through, 1 turn away from failure.
That wasn't helped when I wanted to pull off the maximum 14 resource pull from Family Inheritance on turn 12, which was completely reckless...
Should have gone for the Bear Trap instead, forgotten about that as it would have saved me a minimum of 3 actions (Investigating, Engaging and Evading)
Will bringing the curse to the Unspeakable Oath help?
