This is a deck I've made for other people to play in the Hemlock Vale, but it can be played in other campaigns equally effectively. Events are stronger than assets, and replaying good events is well worth the damage. This is the deck after the fourth scenario, and it already has pretty much nothing else to want.

Most important things are 2 resource spells: Spectral Razor, Read the Signs, Drain Essence, and (frequently) Explosive Ward. Arcane Initiate helps you fish them out. Improvised Shield and Bandages allow you to take damage without actually suffering much.

The discarding of Improvised Shield and Moonstone to play them is facilitated by the Pelt Shipment. The experience that it provides is not too valuable. Advanced signature Heirloom of Hyperborea will take some damage from the cards you play and some horror from the Wards of Protection.

Scroll of Secrets is pretty much to discard Dark Memory if it happens to be at the bottom of your deck - frequent reshuffling means it won't stay there. Keep in mind that you can use your ability to play it for 2 cheaper - you don't need to shuffle it back afterward!

I was very lucky with Dendromorphosis as my weakness. I did not realize how lucky I was at first.

Other things to consider for this kind of deck:

  • Use parallel Agnes back. You can then take Hallowed Mirror for healing, but accessory slots are very contested. I took this Agnes to Innsmouth: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/2648792 Pretty much the only time I played Hand of Fate! Alongside Vincent Lee, she was unstoppable! (but died to a tentacle once) Having 5 fewer cards in the deck is pretty nice too. But you lose Bandages and Improvised Shield.
  • Use Jessica Hyde to soak the damage you're taking when casting spells, kinda like they did on Mad Max. Usually, there was something better to take instead, and you are not really using .
  • Alter Fate: was useful when I took it to Innsmouth.
  • Cornered instead of Pelt Shipment - maybe if there was more stuff to discard...
