Disclaimer:
This deck is part of a set of Core investigators made for my group for a 4-player campaign play. Decks are focused on mono classes but with minor splash where needed.
This Wendy build isn't good at fighting (needs to be paired with a fighting character), but she's very good at at investigating, evading and avoiding failed tests. She can maximize her efficiency by reusing cards from her discard pile.
Starting hand / Mulligan for:
Recycling / Clue Gathering:
- Use 'Items' (Wendy's Amulet, Flashlight, Rabbit's Foot, Newspaper) for skill tests and than recycle them with Scavenging.
- Wendy's Amulet should be used for skill tests in the beginning (2 wild icons). Later on, you can play it to reuse 'events' in your discard pile ("Look what I found!", Cunning Distraction, Emergency Cache, Lucky! & Oops!).
- You should play Rabbit's Foot as soon as possible. It will help you fill your hand for Wendy's ability. You can then later on switch it for Wendy's Amulet
- Flashlight & Newspaper are main cards to help investigating, supported by "Look what I found!" & Perception. You can recharge used Flashlights by using another 'Hand' item and Scavenging
- Keep in mind that you can investigate a location with no clues on it - to trigger Scavenging
Fighting & Evading:
- Use Stray Cat at critical moments
- Cunning Distraction & Survival Instinct can help whit multiple enemies
- Manual Dexterity is auto-include in evading builds
Weaknesses:
- Abandoned and Alone - keep important 'events' in your hand in case this comes out. Also try to get back 'items' back from the discard pile as fast as possible.
Upgrade suggestions:
- Level up Lucky! [2x]
- Will to Survive - 3 autopass tests in a round
- Close Call
Possible future updates (waiting for Dunwich):
- Test Survival Instinct ---> maybe switch it for Opportunist
