My entry for the Draw to the Flame Podcast thematic deck contest. The deck pairs with The House Always Wins. Spoilers!

In exchange for getting early parole, "Skids" O'Toole agreed to go undercover for the Arkham Police Department. The APD were looking for the esteemed Dr. Francis Morgan who had been reported missing by his colleague, Dr. Henry Armitage.

Dr. Francis Morgan was last seen at The Clover Club, a known hideout for the infamous O'bannoin gang. Skids puts on his best clothes and pockets a few useful items. He can't bring anything too suspicious, but he manages to hide a small .41 Derringer and a couple of knives in his pockets, along with his trusty set of Lockpicks.

As a known criminal Skids has no trouble getting into the speakeasy. He quickly finds a table at the cardroom and unleashes all his tricks (High Roller, Lucky Dice, Ace in the Hole, Hot Streak, Sure Gamble and Double or Nothing). There is nothing wrong with making a bit of cash while gathering some Evidence! after all.

After cleaning out a few of the guests, Skids heads to the bar for a smoke and a drink. Sitting alone at the bar he overhears a conversation between two gangsters, which seems to suggest that Dr. Francis Morgan is in a back room.

Skids summons up all his courage and quickly sneaks through the Darkened Hall and into the VIP Area, where he stumbles upon the Scene of the Crime. He opens the door to the Back Alley where a squad of Arkham's finest await. They storm the place, flashing their badges. Hopefully they won't encounter anything they can't handle...

Thanks a lot :-)

I haven't actually played it yet, but I think It'll do all right (it's a 29 XP deck in an early scenario after all).

I concur, great write-up. Very concise. I also love the idea of Skids working undercover for the APD. Might be a good justification for pairing Skids and Roland. Great job!
