Can’t Catch Butcher Rita
There's a lot of action compression here. You're evading to move or deal damage or pick clues. This deck will work wonders for a multiplayer game, with a mystic, guardian, or rogue. For a solo performance you can swap a few cards out (see below)
Mulligan for: Peter Sylvestre, Track Shoes...
Meat Cleaver is for the pesky annoying and agile 1 health enemies with high evasion like rats. Feel free to take the additional horror, Peter Sylvestre can soak the horror...
Old Keyring is for clue support...
Tennessee Sour Mash helps you with willpower tests. If you are short of $, then swap this with x2 Guts...
Track Shoes shoes help you move quicker, leaving enemies behind...
Breaking and Entering lets you pick a clue from high shroud locations, and gets you to evade at the same time...
Cheap Shot lets you attack and evade, and land a further damage with Rita Young ability. 2 health enemy gone in 1 action.
Eavesdrop will need Perception or support from fellow investigators if its a high shroud. Otherwise, swap it with Belly of the Beast
Pilfer is more likely to trigger on multiplayer games, letting you pick 3 clues. It is expensive, you may need Emergency Cache to boost in advance. Hence Sneak By also included to support the economy.
Slip Away lets you evade, and the enemy does not ready allowing your fellow investigator to pick clues in their current turn and next turn.
"Not without a fight!" is good support for high value skill tests. You are most likely going to be with 1 enemy.
Survival Instinct could be swapped with Unexpected Courage. Otherwise it allows you to kill pesky enemies and move at the same time.
For solo, I would swap Survival Instinct with Unexpected Courage. Eavesdrop with Belly of the Beast. Pilfer with "Look what I found!".
Upgrade Path: +2 Peter Sylvestre -2 Peter Sylvestre
-1 Emergency Cache -2 Sneak By +3 Easy Mark

Jul 02, 2021Why do so many Ritas bring Eavesdrop? You can evade an enemy, but you still have to pass an intellect test vs enemy evade which you're not going to fish for flat with 2 intellect at the cost of a 1 resource event play. And this deck doesn't have any intellect push. That's a Trish or Finn card. It doesn't belong in this deck. |
